This is one of the finest applications of technology I've ever seen:

For Parkinson's sufferers, this has got to be a godsend!

I'd be interested to see the same principles applied to chopsticks. It has been almost 20 years since I last used a fork, knife, or spoon on any regular basis.

Just for FYI, Chinese do also use spoons and that seems really the best solution for Parkinson.. better than fork, knife, or chopsticks. (The Japanese are the ones that don't use spoons.) But it would be interesting to consider the adaptations to various impliments.

My dad had Parkinson's when he died 25 years ago, I am sure he would have loved it.

The Japanese are the ones that don't use spoons.
Spoons were available everywhere I went for 6 months in northern Japan.

Spoons are not at all necessary though because soup is more of a dessert to be sipped in Japan.

I prefer chopsticks for most food: even rice. Chopsticks are especially useful for slippery spaghetti noodles :)

    Nice find Phil.

Who will be the first to make a slip/clip-on device for a soldering iron to assist soldering surface mt devices?

I was thinking the same thing! Or just for the tweezers used to position them in the solder paste.

The spoon stabilizer is a brilliant idea. Hope it works well in practice.

Wonder if it works for beer glasses...:)
