Interfacing propeller to 12vdc piezo speaker

I have a 12vdc car alarm whose board was fried beyond my abilities to fix, but I was
kinda wanting to use the propeller to play different ear piercing tunes with it anyway.

I tried a relay, but I am assuming they don't turn on/off fast enough to make sound.

Wondering what part/circuit I would need for this. It has two wires coming from it, playing
with a battery maunally I can get it clicking.

A transistor or MOSFET would do the trick; makes an easy, low-current output for the Propeller. You can use one of the counters to create a square wave output of any frequency you desire.

Is it just a bare piezo element or one of the units with a buzzer circuit built in?
