    Loopy,
    Okay, Merry Christmas...
    Sounds like you are not quite in the spirit of things.

    In much of Europe the "big day" is on the 24th. No idea why. Us pagans would rather it be on the mid-winter solstice so it's nearly right:)

    Dogs like a Yuletide blow out as well you know.

    Notice how that Finnish seasonal greeting above refers back to pre-christian times even now.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

    With this thread and the Baggers thread going, does anyone have a problem with me merging the two.?

    We know Ray's was just minutes before Jim's. :)

    Well it's early down under. :) You have the first real Merry Christmas Ray.

    Much health and prosperity to you and your family.

    (Now if I can find out how to merger the threads, I new to this thing) :)

    It is amazing what you can do with a couple of raindeer, one red LED, and a GPS… sorry, I should have said "spoiler alert" first.

    Merry Christmas from sunny, warm Chicago…area…sort of…not really.

    Merry Christmas to everybody.

    In much of Europe the "big day" is on the 24th.

    My family is like that also. Opening the presents, eating, socializing, etc. is all done on Christmas Eve. Then Santa comes during the night and Christmas Day is mostly for the younger kids to enjoy whatever Santa has brought them.

    Well, next June will be my 20th anniversary of living in Taiwan. And in Taiwan with only 8% Christians, Christmas is not really observed by the general public. It is mostly celebrated by university students that want to find a reason to slip away and party. I suppose if I had been raised Christian, it might be important, but I was raised Jewish.

    The big holiday here is and will always be the Chinese Lunar New Year -- big build up of parties with year-end bonuses and shopping, then 5 or so days off with people feasting and/or travelling with family and friends.

    This year the economy is not performing well and Christmas is on a Wednesday. For most, they have to work and it is the middle of the week. Even my laundry that I us was open Christmas day taking in clothes and he is a Christian family.

    I've had 19 consecutive quiet Christmas, so it does seem a bit odd to get excited about it.

    I didn't. My Parallella and Espruino boards did not materialize in time for Christmas. The Propeller 2 is still cooking. I'm sitting here wondering what to do until new year,

    And Kwanzaa starts today thru Jan 1.

    Just found this funny old SNL commercial for a nativity set that features annoying electronic sounds throughout the Holiday season: http://screen.yahoo.com/grimaldi-classic-creations-000000456.html

    Convert Roy's Spin compiler to Javascript for me.

    Jazzed,

    Attached is the Open Source Spin Compiler translated to javascript along with an HTML page that embeds it.

    Now to try and figure out why it produces the following error when I run it:

    $ node openspin.js

    /home/michael/open-source-spin-compiler-read-only/openspin.js:662
          HEAPU8.set(slab, ret);
                 ^
    RangeError: Offset out of range.

        at Object.<anonymous> (/home/michael/open-source-spin-compiler-read-only/openspin.js:1226:21)
        at Module._compile (module.js:456:26)
        at Object.Module._extensions..js (module.js:474:10)

    That translation to js was done with emscripten.

    Basically:

    1) Replace "gcc" with "emcc", "g++" with "em++" and "ar" with "emar" in the make files,

    2) Build it with:

    $ make clean
    $ emmake make

    3) Convert the llvm bit code produce to js and html with:

    $ mv openspin openspin.bc
    $ emcc openspin.bc -o openspin.html

    Or to run under node:

    $ emcc openspin.bnc -o openspin.js

    All this works fine for fft_bench, no idea what happens here. Also no idea how you get command line parameters into that js if it did work
