Have you used reliable online CNC machining service?

Hello.

I need to manufacture small (10-40 pcs, depending on price) holders for microvials. The 3D rendering can be found on attached image. The overall square size is 2x2x1/2 inches. It should be made from aluminum or copper. The main trick is the vial holder shape, it is not plain conical, it must have slightly curved edges and rounded tip (I have detailed drawing available).

Generally, I use emachines workshop and they are reliable and fast, but due to complexity of this part, is impossible to draw it in their software, or to import it into their software. Only choice is to pay $50 only for importing, without having the clue, whenever their price will be acceptable or not.

I've tried couple of other sites too, but "thank you for uploading your design, we'll contact you shortly" everything stops, and no contact at all. If I called them -"Oh yes, we got it, will give you reply ASAP" But no info again.

So maybe someone can reccomed reliable online CNC machining service?

Suggest posting the stl/whatever_it_is. Firstcut always gives a price http://www.firstcut.com/ Of course they will require a regular cad format.

Here is the excuse you have been waiting for to get a high end cnc router, or mill. It would take a stiff router, but might be possible depending on tolerance needed.

I'd say something wasn't done right then. I have never ordered, have put parts on that are many times more unmachinable than that, and they always give back a reply.

is there a specific reason they have to be aluminum or copper?

I would think a 3d printer would do this easily.
