    Have you installed the USB drivers yet? See http://learn.parallax.com/mac

    I noticed in your screenshot that there's no serial port selected (upper right field in the editor).

    yes... and the the two green lights are on under the power switch...

    In my experience with my MacBook, nothing shows up in the serial port selector at first. But all you have to do is click on it, and the correct choice will present itself.

    'Glad it worked!

    BTW, the most common error the students in my class encounter is that the wrong serial port has been "selected" (i.e. defaulted to) and their programs won't load. It would be nice if SimpleIDE would scan the available serial ports for a connected Propeller like the Propeller Tool does, in order to alleviate this time-consuming issue. Steve, are you listening?

    Sure. Until I find a satisfactory solution, you can teach attention to detail in creative ways.
