Hello All.
I am completely new to RC anything. I saw this and said hey let me try it…but i am in over my head i think and i don't know where to go.

Frist I followed Hack A Week guy on youTube he got me to the completed aircraft, but he left out some stuff. I figured it out by going to HoverFly website on how to connect receiver to the

Here are my questions:
1. I Have hooked everything up…binded the receiver (solid light), I get sounds and all but no movement of propellers.

2. How do i use this Dx6i with this AR6210 receiver? I went to all the directions but don't know why i cannot fly

Somebody help…Im running out of ways to fix it

Check out some of the ELEV-8 threads. I've collected a list of links in post #10 of my index (the quadcopter links start about halfway through the post).

There's at least one thread which deals with setting up a Spektrum radio.

Keep coming back with questions if you don't find the answers you're looking for.

If you're still stuck, you might want to take a picture of your setup so we can see if we spot anything wrong.

I recommend removing the propellers from the motors until you have this sorted out.

#1 - can be a number of issues. Do you hear the motors beep at all? If so what beeps do you hear?

#2 - if you have already bound the AR6210 to the Dx6i there is nothing else to do with the receiver than make sure you have the wires in the correct ports. If you have a solid amber light after binding you should be good there.

    KevD44,

xanadu's two points are very important, especially the one about removing propellers for now. This is imperative for safety - trust me since I've seen a number of problems happen at this stage.

Double check all of your ESC and receiver inputs for correct wiring to the OPEN. Almost everybody gets this wrong the first time - it's trickier than you might think!

Set your radio's channel 5 gain level by putting it at about 30% in the radio's settings for being on.

To "arm" the ELEV-8 you need to sweep your left (rudder) stick left to right, and the OPEN's LED should go to solid green. Then, power up the throttle and make sure everything turns in the CW or CCW directions as noted in the manual.

If you've gotten this far please let us know.
