Technology Robotix Society is proud to present ROBOTIX 2014, its annual [COLOR=#0000FF !important]technological extravaganza[/COLOR], to be held during 31st January – 3rd February,2014 as a part of Kshitij, [COLOR=#0000FF !important]the annual Techno-Management Fest[/COLOR] of IIT Kharagpur. With a wide array of challenging and innovative problem statements designed to test your building and programming skills to the fullest, and umpteen number of prizes at stake, this [COLOR=#0000FF !important]year's edition[/COLOR] is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before. INSPIRALON - Build a robot that can traverse a spiral structure with only a central rod for assistance.The spiral is ready are you ?

CANYON RUSH - Amazing spectacle of nature - a canyon lies ahead.Vast expanses, and deadly falls looming around every corner. Victims are stranded all around. Their only chance of survival now lies in your [COLOR=#0000FF !important]robots hands[/COLOR].

TREMORS - If you are moved by the devastating earthquakes and want to design a solution then build an autonomous robot that can detect the tremors and evacuate victims.

SUDOCODE - An online event having multiple problem statements spread across various genres of programming , path planning, image analysis and more with each problem a challenge to start and a pleasure to finish.So make an endeavour and code.

GEOAWARE- A Computer Vision event which will put your path planning and navigation skills to the test. The only guide for your stranded robot is an old static overhead map of the maze.

    In West Bengal, India? This sounds interesting enough to make a trip. Looks like most of the competitions are autonomous, so we like that part. India is a long way to travel for a robot competition, at least for most Americans and Europeans, but maybe a lot less for anybody in Asia.

    How many people do you anticipate at this event? What kinds of prizes do you offer? I'd be concerned about the short lead time to prepare - usually it takes several months to compete effectively.
