Parallax Gyroscope Question

I am currently looking for a propeller or basic stamp board that would allow me to connect the Gyroscope Module 3- axis L3G4200D to it and let me program it to send a signal to a light when it gets past a certain angle. Any help would be appreciated.

Most Gyro's report the angular rate in which they are rotated. In order to determine the Degree of motion you must integrate the angular rate over time. The link below shows the basic flow that can be applied to an angular rate type of gyro to obtain degrees of rotation. The problem is that you will still have minute amounts of drift that with compound the error over time. Even the rotation of the Earth can effect the output of a gyro at a rate of 15 deg per hour, so other sensors must be applied in combination with a gyro to compensate and correct the error such as a compass, accelerometer etc.
