Hello everybody,

If you want to read about ActivityBot in Greek languge here is my first attempt to introduce the robot in Greek educational and robotic comunity:
http://www.gianakop.blogspot.gr/

I have also done a video in Greek language(and English annotations) that explains how to build Step by step the ActivityBot as well as the 4 basic navigation activities (navigation with whiskies, PING sensor ,IR sensor and Light sensor.

In the near future I intent to enrich the statement with some new activities and videos.

The video is very good, subtitles and all.

I may use it to finish help assembling my bot.

Great work, Nikos! Jessica tells me you might be moved to a math course now. We still hope to see you around on the forums if you don't get to work with robotics as much in the future, but I'm guessing you're going to stick around anyway since we know you really enjoy the subject. I'm pretty sure you're going to figure out how to integrate math with robotics pretty quickly anyway.

The Greek article about ActivityBot is now available on main page of www.grobot.gr Greek robotic site! As well as in this link

    @Ken,

Of course I don't give up from robotics!

On the contrary! I intent to create some more mathematic and geometric activities for the ActivityBot. My suggestion is to
add some examples on ActivityBot ->Navigation Basics-> Go Certain Distances section with these topics:

    1) Programming Activity Bot in order to do a rectangular path (with given face)

    2) Programming Activity Bot in order to do a triangular path (with given face)

    3) Programming Activity Bot in order to do a normal polygonal path (with given number of sides and given face)

    4) Programming Activity Bot in order to do a circle (with given radius)

I intent to give also some math theory for each example and I'm trying to present it with the simplest way in order to attract students.

    Nikos

Yes I absolutely agree for this name!!!

ActivityBot is powerful! Everyone can release the power of mathematics with this robot! It can be Pythagoras or Eukleides!

In every detail ActivityBot is full of the Greek mathematic spirit!. It’s powerful encoders is another real example of the “Odometry” an idea that Hero of Alexandria visualized first and made it real in his autonomous in 10-70 AD!
