Long Cheap Servo Cables

Female-female three-conductor cables, so you may occasionally need some male/male headers to cover every possible connection. Reprap, servos, many uses. Non-standard colors compared to servo cables, just be careful. Wire size in photos looks to be bigger than most servo cables, which is good for longer runs, less voltage drop.

$4.50 for 10 pieces, 70 cm (~27 inches) long. Free ship. Not real sexy, but cheap & useful. Just order some now, you'll use them sooner or later. Can't go wrong for 45 cents each!

Looks like these use individual wires, not the type where they are bonded together and just separated at the ends (like the ones Parallax sells). Something to keep in mind, loose wires can get messy.

Seldom have a need for extensions this long, and I worry about the connector quality -- I hate projects that suddenly stop working because the wiring's gone bad. I use the Parallax stuff, which so far has held up nicely to torture. Or I'll make my own custom-length cables using the pre-crimped wires and shells that Pololu sells (wish Parallax offered these, too).

Cabling is one place where I don't think it's wise to go too cheap.
