Using SoftwareSerial.h with libelium xbee shield

Hi,

I am trying to use SoftwareSerial.h library [of arduino IDE] in xbee shield URL]https://solarbotics.com/product/51835/[/URL. But I am not getting any output. May I know whether I can use this shield or not [as somewhere I saw they wired this xbee to use this library]? I am using Xbee S1 and Arduino Uno R3. Please help, not getting any answer of this question anywhere.

Since neither the shield nor the Arduino anr made or sold by Parallax I would recommend asking on the Arduino, Solarbotics or Libelium forums. Check to make sure the SoftwareSerial library is still valid with your version of the IDE.
