Can you run the HB-25 at 24 volts

Parallax spec sheet says max of 18 volts but the chip manfacture (stmicro) says max 40 volts for that chip?

The max voltage is 16V, not 18V.

    See this thread; http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php/123559-HB-25-max-voltage

The spec on the chip from ST Micro says max is 41 volts.
I see parallax says they never ran it that high.
Is there a schamtic for the HB-25 anywere?

Is ther any other component that wont handle 24 v? The fan?

What about the Current Sense on the chip I dont see were it is brought out to any connection on the HB-25?

There is a small microcontroller on the HB-25 which converts the servo pulse values into PWM to drive the H-Bridge. This MCU is powered via a small regulator on the PCB which imposes the VIN limitation.

There is also a fuse that would have to be changed out. I think it would be worth looking at. About 6 months ago, I looked around for 24V controllers and none of them is as nice as the HB-25. I bought one, which I thought looked best. It does work but is a pain to use and has little(and sometimes BIG) annoying issues with every type of control logic.

I know there is a stockpile of HB-25s, but there really is a need for a bigger brother.
