Is this a good deal? I picked one up just because it was under $20.00, Can it be useful with Prop projects?

Also a 2.4" here.

Temp/Humidity Sensor for $1.99

Seems a good price point, my recent TFT ebay purchases are:

Twice as many pixels (480x320), same footprint, but a bit more expensive: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-3-2-TFT-LCD-Display-480-X-320-Module-ILI9481-Driver-IC-touch-panel-PCB-/271241999764?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item3f27487594

(I've got one, but haven't got it working yet BTW)

2.4" module (ILI9341, 320x240, SPI interface), far fewer pins needed to drive, no touch panel: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-2-Inch-SPI-TFT-LCD-Serial-Port-Module-Display-ILI9341-5V-3-3V-New-/200972663189?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item2ecae77995

I have one and got it working, but not yet on Prop.

    but not yet on Prop.
I am trying to steer away from getting things working on Stamps since most of what I want to do now revolves around the Prop. I have lots of Stamp boards but I would rather get things done using the Prop so as not to waste time tinkering with things I will not use any how!!!! Don't get me wrong, the Stamp has been a great learning tool for me and it is what got me in to the MCU arena in the first place.

Sure it can! And it is great to see the prices continuing to come down.

If you shop a little more you'll find them direct from China at prices between $11-$15. $18 isn't bad, as you'll probably get it faster being from Ebay.

Don't forget to check out Ray's stuff, he's got all kinds of LCD touch screens, and even has one specifically for audio that has a micro sd card holder in it. What's really great is that he has demo code for everything and is very helpful. :)

    Hey guys,

I stumbled on the touchscreen displays on the parallax store and it looks like a great product. My question is, can I easily input a live video feed (RCA) to the display and use the touchscreen to support a menu function and/or the ability to switch video inputs? Any help is appreciated. I am not a master at code in any respect, as I am more hardware-minded, but I have BASIC Stamp experience and am willing to learn.

For those who care, this is for an FPV application off of my rc drone. I want to create a wearable peripheral video display for monitoring purposes.

    Thanks,
    Jake Warren.

Sorry, no easy way for that.

    BUT

If you use a standard NTSC LCD monitor, you can use Phil's "propeller backpack" to overlay menu's etc on top of the video feed. You could get a separate resistive touch screen and add that to the NTSC display.

I'm also interested with running color displays with basic stamp, is that really possible?
