I created a template for mounting the Parallax 16x2 serial LCD in a project box. It is a jpeg image and if you print it at 100%, it should work for you.
NOTE: in IE right click the smaller image and click "Save Target as..."
Removing the white area in the center leaves a small margin of the black bezel exposed for the sake of viewing angle.
