Kiki.jpg
This last Saturday my wife and I lost one of the joys of our lives, our Siamese cat Kiki Since we never had children she was our baby. She always was snuggling on one of our laps. My wife got her when she was 3 and I started dating my wife 3 months later so she was always our baby. She was 17 and we had 19 extra wonderful months with her when we found she had a kidney disease and the vets were not hopeful at first that she would make it. We spoiled her rotten in that last period of time. She has left a large hole in both my wife's and my heart. We will be bring home her ashes tonight. Goodbye my dear Kiki you are deeply loved.

Brian, so sad to hear about your loss. Pets are a wonderful blessing in our lives but they take terrible toll when it is time for them to leave.

    Brian,

Sorry to hear about Kiki, I'm sure you and your wife were wonderful parents to her.

Some cats seem to always go about their own business, others like Kiki are lap cats, you were very lucky to have a lap cat and she was luck to have you.

My condolences. Kiki was lucky to have such loving humans in her life. Savor the good memories of her (photos help), and your hearts will mend.

Thank you all for your kind words. I know some of you have recently dealt with the loss of a beloved pet so your words touch my heart and ease the pain a little. It is nice to know that there are many fellow forum members that share in the blessing of having beloved pets.

So sorry for your loss. It's a pain I am unfortunately very familiar with. Time eases the pain, but you'll always feel a little twinge of longing when you remember. It's good that her years were lived in the company of loving and caring people, you blessed each other's lives.
