ActivityBot - Problem with Trimming

Purchased an ActivityBot and I am going through the lessons and I am in the Navigation tutorial. When I run the "Test for Trim" program my right wheel burst forward in spurts causing the Bot to go into a counterclockwise circle. It makes a complete circle before the problem stops. I have adjusted the trim values but the right servo continues to burst in spurts. Everything looks to be in order electrically. I tried new batteries. I also tried reversing the servo and encoder connections. No change in behavior except it runs backwards with the same servo bursting. Any ideas why or how I can fix this problem? Thanks

Did the calibration steps work for you? Have you dumped the calibration data from your eeprom?If so, compare it to the good & bad runs that I attached to post #7 of the above thread. And, check the alignment of the encoder LEDs through the holes in the wheels.

Thank you. I reviewed the post and that helped. My right encoder had dropped in the front and I didn't realize it. Never worked with encoders before. Interesting stuff. Alignment ... important. Thanks again.
