Stacking headers, the bane of my Digi-Key experience.

So I keep looking for two varieties of board stacking headers I can't seem to determine the correct term to find them:
1.) Arduino shield style male/female where the bottom solder tails extend below the board far enough to plug into female sockets on another board or a breadboard and the top is a female socket for the next board in the stack.
2.) Male/male style that are the same except the both the top and bottom have pins to fit into female sockets above and below.
I can't seem to find these on that site (or Mouser) to save my life and I see people making boards with them all the time so I wonder if anyone has part number for something serviceable for this and doesn't mind sharing?

I have lots of 8 pin male/female 0.1" pitch stacking headers.
Short male/female headers are also a nice solution for stacking little boards
Don't use the short headers with solder-tail sockets.
I should send you a care package.
The other sizes are custom and cost for minimum order quantities is prohibitive for a hobby operation. It's unclear why Digikey and Mouser don't carry such things.

One would have to gouge the customer for it to be worthwhile to sell the other sizes.
LOL, ok well I guess I assumed to much then. That sort of explains why I see them on this or that website now and again but can't find them in the catalogs. Jameco, while expensive on those at least has them in a 10-pos size that would be more useful to me than a bag of Arduino-specific parts.
I guess I see a bit more clearly why propeller platform went the way it did.

Has anyone found a part number from one of the big manufacturers (Molex, AMP, TE, Semtech, etc) that fits the bill? It could be as simple as asking for something to be stocked if they know what to stock. It's happened before.
This particular part number is hard to find and has no picture, but the leads look like they are ~ .4" long (-03 parts). Don't hold me to that though.

A Digi-key wizard pointed me that direction. Both the samtec SSQ and SSW might also be targets because it looks like the leads of the -04 parts can be .584" long.
