6 wire phone jack?

Something is just not clicking for me... I am trying to locate a right angle 6 wire phone jack that is surface mount with solder retention and does not require any holes to be drilled in the PCB. I have been searching all over Digikey and have found this : http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/0855025007/WM3546CT-ND/2405745

Is this a 6 wire phone jack plug? What is the 6p6c? From what I gather, it means 6 positions, with all 6 with contacts in them... is this correct?

That looks like what you want. It's an RJ-12 jack with 6 Positions and 6 Contacts. The typical RJ-11 phone jack is 4P4C.

Ok, awesome. I am hoping to use this type of connection to run a 7 segment display via a shift register through the Prop. I don't think there will be any contact issues.... I hope...

I've used RJ-12 connectors in industrial settings without a problem. Just be sure to use a good-quality stripper and crimp tool for the plugs.

It is used in Broadcast Intercom Telex (Bosh) systems.
We always bring it back to RJ11 so you can use standard pre-made cables and patches .....

RJ12 crimps with standard crimp tools. It putting in placed trough the locking lip

You can use standard RJ11 patch and coupling devices with RJ12 , but not the other way round

    I have used this one:
    http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Molex/85513-5002/?qs=%2fha2pyFaduikdRnLaL3shAQxtW4zSBwt9i32RLDmj%2fQ%3d

Try to follow the inner-pair standard,
and if you circuit have a signal that is "optional" use the most outer-pair wires for this so regular 4wire cord can be used when this signal is not needed.
