I was browsing the web for a different Electronics Inventory Control program and came across this. It looks like it could be useful for keeping track of components, etc.

I wrote a Home Inventory system in Visual Basic which uses an Access relational database. It contains entries for virtually everthing I own including my electrical components, etc. It takes some effort to keep current (over 2800 rows) but it sure is handy.

That is pretty nifty. I am currently attempting to modify the one I posted about so I can use it locally rather than on line.

There's two BOM management tools that I've found (that are any good). I currently use

    https://apps.arenasolutions.com/partslist

But Parts in Place has a very responsive web team (they added a few features at my request), so I'll give it another shot when I make a new board:

I would like one of these that I do not have to be online to use. I do a lot of onsite work and want to also keep track of my "On-Site" inventory without having to have Internet access. I could probably roll my own, but the one I linked to may have an off line version.

I've started migrating dozens of my little Ebay China treasures into the clear Radio Shack assortment boxes. Nice & clear, easy to see & keep track of. Ultrasonic sensors here, stepper motors there, L298Ns in between...

For anyone interested in the source code for the site posted in Post #1 it is here. You must have the correct version of PHP and MySQL. I downloaded and installed XAMPP and this program is now running locally on my system instead of on the Web. Very handy to have.
