I bought one of the Analog Discovery Kits a while back when they had them at Student pricing for everyone. I think it was a great deal for around $100. Added the available BNC adapter board for another $15, I think, so I can use it with scope probes. It's a pretty nifty little unit.

I have one of the Analog Discovery Kits also. Well worth the $99 student price. Looks like those people at the University of Massachusetts have put together a nice package for their beginner engineers.

That does look like a winning combination, a Parallax/Digilent hybrid. I wonder if they are going to make their curriculum available.

I started a thread about the Analog Discovery Kit back back in March (engineers' month) when it was on sale. My son has been working his way through the youtube curriculum provided for it by Digilent. Digilent sells their own box of parts for experiments, including a trove of chips from Analog Devices. Their curriculum seems pedantic though, on the thin side when it comes to hands-on experiments.

There is a weird funny glitch in the lesson on potentiometers, starting around minute 3:20.
