Um, Erco that's the original HWB and with a DB9 serial connection plus the parts it traveled with.

I can't tell whether it's the 2.2 or 3.0 version of WAM. For a while Parallax was selling the 3.0 version for $40 and the 2.2 version for $30.

Best price generally available now AFAIK, other than the $15 Activity kit I bought at the shack!

Seller says new in sealed box, so it's not the $30 poly bag version anyway. Yep, Buck, you're prolly right, no USB adapter.

And the difference between the 2.2 and 3.0 version is?

Updated WAM book (What's a Microcontroller). V2.2 is still good, and the newer V3.0 is a free download.

I think big change in ver 2 to 3 was changing from photoresistor to phototransitor. I think the former has a few atoms of gallium (?) in it which made it non Rohs & a tough sell to schools. Also there was a change in one capacitor.

Cadmium Sulfide, IIRC. CdS isn't ROHS compliant.

WAM 3.0 uses an 850 nm PhotoTransistor (350-0029) and an additional 0.01 uF capacitor (200-01031)

Chapter 5 on Servos has a better explanation on how to control a Servo's movement
Chapter 7 on Light was completely rewritten for the PhotoTransistor
Chapter 10 on System Integration was also rewritten
