Interesting problem

Hello!
On Tuesday I shall be buying the wires that were discussed earlier for connecting the Parallax display #27977 to a breadboard. (It is a retail version but that's not important.)
I found these in the Microcenter crowd, http://www.microcenter.com/product/415440/EXTENSION_WIRES_-_RETAIL And the site page points to this one on the Parallax page
http://www.parallax.com/Support/SupportHome/tabid/474/Default.aspx
But the Parallax site after being reorganized doesn't recognize that location. They aren't even found inside the http://www.parallax.com/products/retail area.
As it happens the Parallax choice of the Dot Net site builder software produces an error message, "Index was outside the bounds of the array."
Further that same error shows up when I ask it about that old site location. After swapping "classic" for the Three W entries.
So now what happens? I suspect that the store won't be interested in my complaint. All they will want is that the things bought work.
As it happens the entire store plus allover the Microcenter microverse (Stores) had an outage. Their entire POS system had crashed and they were reduced to the methods for selling things via credit cards that we used when they were first introduced. I have since found out that everything is indeed back up and they are entering the receipts collected during the outage.

I think you are looking for the 3-wire F/F wires that we sell in a variety of sizes:
http://www.parallax.com/catalog/components/wireconnection
Basically, these parts comprise the kit that you found at MicroCenter, but I don't think we sell that same kit direct.
Hello!
Quite correct.
I understand, some what, the differences between the retail series of packaging, and the sold directly series. But what does bother me is how the site could throw an error like that.
I did see the similar sets of cables. And that they are the same crowd that Ron brought to my attention earlier on as applied to the thread over on the Basic Stamps area on the display. In fact there we did discuss these differences. For my part the fact that these cables and the pins are available without too much trouble is a time solver, especially since Radio Shack in its lack of wisdom claimed to be selling the same thing, just nowhere near here. So I should think that it works. I'll be changing the status of the thread after the appropriate Parallax site wakes up from its error.
Hello!
Okay today at Microcenter I found the connectors, and the packaging is exactly as I expected. I also saw there many new items, (well new to their locations but not to me) and with some help I found the connectors. So despite the reluctance of the site (Parallax) to confirm or refute the existence of these items in retail packaging, I am going to change the status of this thread to solved.
