...and Roy nails it.. (surprised! You can't see the Wii connection in this image)
I've decided to combine my two loves of Retrocomputing & Propeller again for another new Propellerpowered project for the CBM enthusists. (Yes, there is more than just me!)
The final Quickstart PCB will have two Wii controller connections and do the following:
Button switch between joystick port 1 and joystick port 2 (mostly done)
Button toggle for rapid fire.
Two Wii controller connections on the PCB.
Mappable extra fire button for games which use it. (like Spyhunter)
This "breadboard proof" works. Now I'm working on finishing up the firmware.
Some games feel like they were made for thumbstick control, while others become more difficult after years of enjoying them with an old Atari-style stick.
Better cross-developing than cross-dressing, I always say...
XLNT work, I love the C-64, there are at least two hidden in my attic. I thought those joystick-only plug & play units from 10 years ago were nicely done. I bought one like this new in a drug store for $10. Lots of retro fun.
