OBEX "Posted" and "Updated" dates

Go to the Propeller Object Exchange (OBEX) and display Category:- Any -, Projects Per: - All -, sorted by Posted date, descending. After some slow page updates, see all OBEX submissions on one page. Notice that it indicates 2013-03-27 to 2013-04-17 were VERY popular posting dates. I am guessing this is incorrect, and that somehow lots of dates got changed somehow. Are many of the Posted and Updated dates incorrect? If so, can they be corrected? I am new to the Forums and OBEX, and having things correctly dated is especially important to newcomers like me. Thank you. - Rick Nungester

Rick314, Welcome to the forums! The dates you are seeing are an artifact of the creation of the new OBEX back in late April. It would appear that most objects were loaded with the actual date of loading them into the New OBEX as opposed to having a migration function which would have left the original published date. There may be more info on this thread here. Also, there is an email address for OBEX support and it should still be active: obex.support@parallax.com. Other than that, I can only advise that an answer would need to come from someone at Parallax.

Welcome to the forum. You can use the old OBEX:

    http://obexclassic.parallax.com/objects/

    t
o see the correct posting dates, but it will not contain any new submissions made in the last few months.

Thanks for the information, but I would still hope to hear from whoever at Parallax is responsible for breaking the Posted and Updated dates around last April (4 months ago) -- What are the plans for fixing the incorrect dates and getting the new OBEX to at least to the functionality of the old OBEX?

I am enjoying learning about Parallax and its products, but comparing the old and new OBEX sites is discouraging. Now I see that search results at the new site are missing columns for Version and Number of Downloads -- Very useful information. So the new site not only has incorrect information (the dates), but is missing useful information that used to be given (Version and Downloads). It's too late now, but I also suggest in general the testing of replacement pages before their release, then making a clean switch instead of keeping both old and new pages/sites online for months.
