BS2 Serial Port Data Rate

I'm starting some wireless programming experiments. Shooting for world domination before Labor Day. What are the baud rate & settings for the serial port communication for a BS2?

erco, do you mean the built-in port that the PC programs over (and DEBUG)? If that the normal rate is 9600, 8, N, 1.

erco for purposes of "World Domination" I checked. With Serout I was able to get a BS2 to transmit to a Propeller set to 47600 baud.

erco, dang! RTFM before you head off into world comination. Will the new SF bay bridge open Labor Day or will Bolt Man strike again?

I do have my own BS2 baudmode table here.

I wouldn't worry too much as far as domination .... ( tongue in cheek --> ) ... erco's robots will only challenge you when doing figure eight tactical maneuvers. :-)

I was wrong Tracy is right. You can transmit @ 50_000 baud with a BS2 with baud mode 0. Take over the world now!

You guys know I'm old school. If I can't take over the world MY WAY, at 300 baud with a green monochrome monitor, then it just ain't worth my time...

@Beau, thanks, that's just what I needed. I'm working on a poor man's ($10) wireless link. Ebay China parts, natch.

@Tracy, ROFL, I had to Google RTFM...

@All: Labor Day is Sept 2, so just in case, party hearty all August. :)

Chris, what's the baud rate & settings for the programming the BS1 using the parallel port?

Sorry about that! Every time I went to reply to your thread I got interrupted by a call.

    The BS1 programs at 4800, N, 8, 1

And now you can get out your Logic Analyzer and see what's happening! ;)

10,000 posts a week later world domination!!! I'm not sure I want to reach that total as it seem's to turn one into a megalomaniac, with 20,000+ posts I hate to think what Mike Green's goals are, perhaps the Solar System and beyond?
