I need some help

Im currently working on a Hannos balance robot. I need some help with replacing the gyro that he used.
He used a single axis RC gyro. I have been trying to replace it with the L3g4200 from parallax. If anyone wish to help.
I would pay you for you're time.

Thank you

    Karpovskaia,

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm pretty sure Hanno used a gyro common to RC helicopters. I don't think you need the exact model Hanno used. A RC gyro needs to receive a 1500us pulse (often at 50Hz) . With the gyro receiving a steady pulse the Propeller can then read in the gyro's pulse to determine its rotation. Hannos code takes care of all this for you. You just need one of the cheap RC gyros. I gave a link to one in the other thread. I bet the RC gyro would cost less than hiring someone.

If you're dead set on using the L3G4200 gyro, you might be able to combine resources with someone else to pay a consultant to make the changes. I had someone offer to pay me to modify the DanceBot code to use a L3G4200 gyro. I told them it would be less expensive to must purchase the other gyro than what I'd charge for my time.

Is there some reason you want to use the L3G4200 gyro other than it's what you have on hand?

I really enjoy writing code for the Propeller and I even like it more when I'm paid to do so but I intensely dislike wasting other peoples' money.

Eventually I want to balance on one wheel. When I have gained more experience. I saw this done on YouTube. This guy used the other axis to keep his balanced lert and right. I will find the link and post it. How much would you charge?
So you replaced the accelerometer. Cool.

Have you worked through any of the sample code for the Gyro yet? I would bet that if you start there you can figure out what to modify in Hanno's code to meet your needs. I know it would be "easier" to pay someone to do it but then what would you learn from that?
