The Parallax web site has apparently been hacked!

See this link for the high speed servo

Some jerk is probably very proud of himself.

Is this connected to the fact the parallax forums were out earlier today, for quite a while all I got was "database error".

How strange that all that was hacked was that one product photo... not even something on the homepage, which has been done previously.

Who knows what else might be affected?
Parallax may need to refresh the entire site to ensure no other bogus images, links or text has been altered...

    Pakistan Zindabad: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pakistan_Zindabad

Is it time to send in the drones? Or perhaps some ELEV-8s dropping Propeller kits so that they find something more useful to do.

Or is this nothing to do with Pakistan? Just a dumb kid somewhere.

If he wants to impress me, then he'd do better learning how to control one of those servos using a Propeller or BASIC STAMP.

What? You mean Parallax runs on Windows? I feel dirty.

Still, forum software and such can be full of holes no matter what it runs on.

The offending image and all other affected files have been deleted and replaced by the original beautiful high speed servo images. Crisis averted. We shall all live to code another day. Thank you for your vigilance.

I think this was a task more suited for "Chainsaw Jen" but that's just how I feel about malicious hackers.....

    Phew!

But wait... What if Pakistan Zindabad decides to permanently change its own "you've been hacked" image to... the image of a PARALLAX HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS ROTATION SERVO?

Then the cyber terrorists win! And Parallax wins! But how will we know if we're hacked? Confusion fall!

I noticed the Daily Deal has finally changed on the Beta Site. It had not changed from the PIR sensor with an expiration date of 12-25-13 for a while.
