Keep in mind that the amplifier gain for Ri = 1 kΩ and Rf = 2 kΩ should be about 1.5.
(Page 109 - Incorrect, these values are for a gain of 3 so they need to be reversed to match the calculation on page 107)

If Ri = 1 kΩ and Rf = 2 kΩ, the gain will be:
Gain = 1 + 1000/2000 = 1 + 0.5 = 1.5
(Page 107) Gain = 1 + 1000/2000 = 1 + 0.5 = 1.5
