Andrew sells some humidity sensors. I think his price is a bit better than Parallax's price. Andrew sells both the SHT11 (same as Parallax board) and the SHT15 (I think the 15 is a higher end sensor).

Just bought a couple more of the SHT11 chips from Newark, and noticed the price has dropped a couple of dollars since I last ordered. They are selling for $26.52 / ea. Not a bad price, if you want to "roll your own".

If a company wishes to promote a product, one would think that the period of the sale would be longer.

I would say that the "Daily Deal" is meant more to promote the Web site than any particular product. Visit daily or you might miss out on a good deal!
