i need to look at a simple 9 volt circuit found inside the base of desktop perpetual motion toys.

Anyone have a schematic diagram they can show me or send me a link to look at?

Please be more specific. What particular toy? Any names, links, pictures?

Are you talking about a power supply for a desktop toy?

Also, why would a perpetual motion machine need a power supply? None of the ones on my desk have power supplies. They are, well you know, perpetual motion machines.

I'd give you the plans to make one but I'm afraid there is not enough room in a forum post.

The Dolpin Kinetic Art machine. Its a desktop toy. What does the 9 volt power supply circuit in the base look like? . I would like to replicate it.
Some people think its perpetual motion but that does not exist.

Try the Beam people at Solarbotics. BtW, perpetual motion devices are the only item that the US Patent Office requires one to submit an actual working model when requesting a patent.

Interesting that the patent office would want a working perpetual motion machine with the patent application.

How long would they have it run before granting the patent?

There are several variants in this book (it's the BEAM people Loopy mentions):

Or just borrow the circuit online:
