Clarification for charger indication IC

Hi.,

I am using LTC 2941 charger indication IC ,i configure this IC into ATMEL micro-controller.This IC is used to know the status of the battery,and i need to know the percentage of the battery in 30%,50%,75% and 100%.Kindly please suggest me how to calculate the percentage (%) using this IC.

This is a Parallax support forum and provides support for the microcontrollers sold by Parallax like the Basic Stamps and the Propeller, not a competing product like the ATMEL devices. The LTC1941 is a battery charge monitor that Parallax does not sell or support. It's a complex device and the whole question of how to come up with percentages of capacity is just not something that we can provide for you. You'll need to study the LTC1941's datasheet which is full of information on how the device works. You'll also have to study the datasheet for the battery that you plan to monitor since the % charge depends on the details of the battery characteristics and the battery chemistry. It's certainly a good project and you'll learn a lot by doing it.
