Hello my name is Victor

I am building my own proplug for to use with the Propeller P8X32A , I am using the FT232RL, but I can not get communication with the Propeller, I have a error : “No chip Propeller found in COMxx”
I want know if somebody can help me please , if somebady can send me the Diagram for to use the FT232RL o tell me wat I can do.
Thank.

Obviously you must have the datasheet or circuit for this already to hook it up. Perhaps it's better that you send through a photo or a wiring diagram at least. You have connected up the reset capacitor and transistor circuit? Also bear in mind that RX and TX should refer to what the pin is rather than what it is intended to be connected to (i.e. RX pin connects to TX), so be aware of misleading labels.

Oh, where are my manners......Welcome to the Propeller forum Victor. After a while you will get to discern our personalities and figure out that we are very friendly and being helpful even if sometimes that may sound a little chiding.

The Demo Board schematic shows the circuit used with the FT232RQ chip. I assume the FT232RQ and FT232RL are similar in the way they are used?

The Demo Board schematic is available under the help menu in the Propeller Tool.

    BTW, Welcome to the forum.

The FT232RL may indeed be a little different. One cannot just assume similarity, there are reasons the part number changes.

In this case it may only be the package... on the other hand, a different package may require a different pin out arrangement.

The Q has 32 pins; the R has 28 pins.

You can locate a PDF for the right chip on the order page in the Parallax store.

The FT232R is the basic part number and all that the L means is that it happens to be a SSOP pack.
Straight from page 1 of the datasheet form the link provided:
    FT232RQ-xxxx 32 Pin QFN
    FT232RL-xxxx 28 Pin SSOP

The QuickStart Board uses the FT232RL, so you can use the QuickStart's schematic as a model.
