Ebay I2C I/O Expander

Just saw this on Ebay, an I2C-based 16 GPIO module, for $21 shipped (or make offer). Need some extra more I/O pins on your Stamp? Uses 2 Stamp pins to control 16 I/O lines, so you essentially add 14 I/Os. 2.3-5.5V. US seller. Links to sample code provided. Best for BS2P class Stamps, which have built-in I2C commands, but with some effort it could also work with BS2.

It's so funny that Publison posted that IC...Parallax used to carry that one (or a similar one) and I was going to ask what the advantages were to the more expensive module.

I guess the advantage is that the pull ups are already soldered in.
