Are Seeed Studio Shields compatible with BASIC Stamp 2?

I was in RadioShack today and saw Seeed Studio Shields that would be an awesome addition to my robot/general electronic. The shields are compatible with Arduino but I wanted to see if anybody knew whether or not the shields are compatible with the BS2.

Seeedstudio documentation leaves much to be desired.
There is no BS2 to "shield" adapter board.
There is a StampDuino board afterall.
They (Arduino) use SPI and I2C, but Stamps generally use asynchronous serial.
Much can depend on which "shield" you're talking about.
I think that overall you'll be investing a lot of time figuring out how they make it work and then trying to find if there's a way to make a Stamp improvise.

The Propeller ASC+ is compatible with Arduino Shields. You can you the BS2 Functions object from the OBEX to use many of the BS2 functions on the Propeller.

I see what you mean... I don't think I have the expertise or patience to try and make a Stamp improvise.

With the StampDuino board you can make the BS2 form factor compatible with the Arduino:

But the BS2 doesn't have an A/D converter, so shields that require it won't work. Also as PJ Allen points out, I2C is common with some Arduino shields (e.g. compass, gyroscopes, real time clocks). The BS2 can do it via bit bashing, but it is a bit of a headache. So the answer is it depends upon the shield.

So first I should check about the StampDuino and see if a Seeed shield conforms to what the BS2 can handle..... I'll be researching

That's another thing - effective operation may be dependent on use of the Arduino's interrupt timing, and cobbling a Stamp alternative will be a stretch.

Yes you can...I am using the pins of the motor board seeed in1, in2, in3, in4, EA1, EA2 to control motor...high to in1 and EA1 turn on doc motor one direction, high to in2 and EA1 opposite direction.

12vdc into motor 1.0 board

Plug in the pins to homework board....and connect to pins 15....10

Common ground to 12vdc
