Gordon stopped selling them because he couldn't get the wheels anymore. The 4x4 design works quite well and this would be good for someone looking to build a cheap robot able to handle rougher terrain than a Boe bot can handle out of the box.At that price it is almost worth it just for the parts alone.
I'd buy it myself, but l last year I built a copy out of plywood:
