Pizza Delivery via Quadrotor

30 minutes or it's free...?

But won't the pizza get cold quickly at altitude, right in the midst all that prop downwash? Not to mention aerodynamically interfering with the prop downward airflow and reducing lift (much like hanging an inverted parachute under the quadrotor)...

Perhaps NASA can deliver their 3D printed pizzas via quadrotor for the ultimate in high tech high altitude haute cuisine.

    Hey erco,

It needs a robotic arm to ring the door bell - get on that!

You're right, Pal. Between absence and jetlag, I did miss that. DOH!

Between the Pizza Delivery system, and this delivery system, Anti collision software is going to be all important...

Second thought: Depending how the salvage rights would work, Maybe a mid air collision over your backyard would not be so bad... :)

Would shooting down a pizza delivery drone be a crime?

Hrmm... Rightful airspace enforcement VS Discharging a firearm within city limits... A good lawyer could do it...:thumb::thumb:

I imagine the air delivery service will not be available when anywhere near compton...

Right you are! My flight instructor warned me long go that frequent fliers to Compton's tiny, uncontrolled (!) airport occasionally pick up the odd bullet hole. Me and my little Cessna stay clear.

    Curious...
Have the twins been up in that wing over yet?

Not yet, since they scare easily! I haven't been flying much in the past year. I gotta decide to get back into it hardcore or sell the plane.

Somebody make me an offer I can't refuse. Who's got $18K for a full IFR 152? Today only, before I get over my jetlag and come to my senses!

I think I have about 18,000 74xx TTL chips here. Is that a fair trade?

Sure, I can consider that briefly. Can you give me an inventory list of each chip with its date code? :)

The best offer I ever heard someone use at a hamfest: "Will you take whatever's in my wallet right now? It might be a lot."

    Stay legal, please.
Use Helium balloons anchored with steel wire over your property. If they have enough lift for a nylon fishing net, too, well...
