Those are good notes. I sure wish a long time ago that simple line/box characters were made part of ASCII.
We're lucky that in the West, we had a limited alphabet and digit set that could be easily encoded into a few bits (like 7-bit ASCII). Also, our letters and digits could be visually represented by just a few lines (think 7-segment displays). This made it easy for us to develop computer technology, as the computer-to-person interaction could be boot-strapped from almost the very beginning. In the East, their huge and complex character sets wouldn't afford such ease of development. It was like a great wall.
I am using your add on board (Thanks Tubular!) with my DE0-Nano. Love it!
Already thinking of getting my hands on a DE2-115 for 5 Cog emulation.
I am a big fan of Prop1 and even bigger fan now of Prop2.
