Midwest Prop Expo 2013?

I am just a poor braino, and cannot afford air fare or gas money to exotic destinations like Ohio.

Anyone have ideas for a Central prop expo in Chicago or Milwaukee this year?

If you leave me to organize it, we risk a disproportionate focus on forth and or robots.

There are several HACKERSPACES we can contact (PS1, WS88, Sector67), as well as Chibots.org.

There is also a business incubator 1871 downtown that might be willing to talk. www.1871.com

Any ideas?

    Just my 2 cents worth...

Chicago or Milwaukee are a little too far for me. (I'm in Tulsa).

Might I humbly suggest Kansas City? I have no idea if KC would be more propellerhead-friendly, but I'd actually be able to attend, rather than just dream about attending. :)

Parallax will lend support for this event, wherever it ends up being. Hardware, lunch, or whatever you guys would like to have we can provide.

Rabid as I am, I can still only drive about an hour. Today I spent $76 on 16 gallons of gas, it looks I'll probably have to walk.

Maybe we could organize mini-events are our local spaces, and arrange a common Google hangeout on a big screen TV in each space?

I think hangout can have something like eight participants. I can talk to three spaces here; icepuck can you run it by area515?

Walter, you can represent from Kansas City, or from Tulsa if there is no hackerspace nearby.

I don't know which spaces will be interested, but I'll start the conversation tomorrow.

I thought the location we met at for UPEC last year worked out quite well.

Maybe we could have the Propeller version of the 2600 meetings? :)
