So, what's the main differences between Propeller Activity Board @ Prop. Board of Education?
Apart from the price obviously.

I have a Stamp BoeBot, could I replace that board with one of the Prop. boards?

The Activity Board is a great Boe-Bot replacement. It doesn't have the AV stuff that is on the Prop-BOE -- these things are not used a lot, and certainly not very helpful on most robots.

    Thanks Jon for the clarification!
Will probably upgrade to the Activity board when I hit the wall with my BS2.

Let me suggest that when you make the switch to the Propeller you go full-tilt-boogie and learn Spin (or Propeller C is that's your choice). Many choose to restrict themselves to BS2 functionality by using an object that gives you those features -- but, in my opinion, it holds you back, too. If you just accept the Propeller for what it is and go for it, you can have a really great time. It takes just a little effort to get used to the idea of multiple processors working together, but once that idea latches, you'll wonder why it isn't the "norm."

Yep, either Spin or Prop C I'll for sure use. Have some decades of programming experience with different languages (anyone remembers Logo, Cobol, Pascal...) so the programming language is typically not that a big issue for me. On the electronic side I'm however a newbie.

    Here are some specific differences:
    • The Propeller Board of Education includes a microphone, a VGA connector, and a bank of 8 LEDs (inline with other peripherals).
    • The Propeller Board of Education has a much beefier 5 V switching voltage regulator that can deliver up to 3 A. The Propeller Activity Board's linear 5 V regulator tops out at 1.5 A max.
    • The two boards use different ADC converter ICs. So, at the moment, code examples using the ADC that work for one board will not work for the other.
    • Both boards include an XBee header, but the Propeller Board of Education gives you access to more of the XBee pins.

    I hope this helps!
