For the Propeller BOE, specifically, this page, it is mentioned there are three inputs available to the A/D converter. A0-A3. According to the schematic, A4 should also be included.

I think you are correct that there is an error.

The Propeller Board of Education has three sockets that are connected to an onboard analog to digital converter chip. These sockets are labeled AD0, AD1, and AD2.

Should read;

The Propeller Board of Education has four sockets that are connected to an onboard analog to digital converter chip. These sockets are labeled AD0, AD1, AD2 and AD3.
