Introducing the Matterform 3D Scanner. The world's first affordable 3D scanner for home use.
The scanner allows anyone to take a physical object, and turn it into a digital 3D model on your computer. From there, you can print your file on any 3D printer, or online printing service. Or, use the model you created in an animation or video game.

And then there's the David Laser Scanner which has been around a while now, I think it should qualify as being the "the world's first affordable 3D scanner for home use".
This quote about the Matterform is amusing; "...and rather than relying on a Kinect, it uses actual frikkin' lasers to make it scans." - the Kinect does use a laser.
