Myself I never give up!!! If I can't figure something out I will either ask for help or put it aside for a while. It's simply amazing what taking a break from a problem does for the success of said problem.
The results returned from a search engine can be a surprise initially, but if you consider what was entered as the search word(s) or phrase it usually makes sense.
