I came across this little gem. I wanted to buy a nephew a gift. Sadly , it does not seem to be available in australia. You can buy direct from The Shack , or Amazon. But... by the time you pay for freigjht it more than doubles in price :) I think I'll find another gift !!!

If your heart is really set on this, I'm sure one of us here in the states can assist you. I ship packages into your area all the time and I seriously doubt it would double the price.

I'll bet you might realistically be looking at $20-$30 (worst case) shipping USPS from the US to Australia. I can do some actually number crunching on that if you'd like.

Ah, memories... This board introduced me to electronics when I was 4, I loved it. The buttons and the breadboard are the only things that wore out/broke in the six years that I used it. The breadboard could be fixed by opening it up and pulling the connector thingies out of the breadboard, bending them back into shape, and putting them back in. Only a few of the springs got messed up in the time I used it.

Yes, you should definitely buy this board for your nephew. Hopefully someone can help get you one for a reasonable price.

Hello , I'd like to buy the learning kit above. If you are able to help me I had one idea, I could buy the item and have it sent to an address in the US, then you could post it to me (happy Face) I would need to send you the cost of posting it to me, I haven't thought that out yet :)

I ship every weekday, so this is a no brainer here. If are willing to have it shipped to my location, I'll be happy to forward it along to you via cost of USPS International mail.

Are there any published package weights/dimensions on this item? I'd like to give you an idea of what you are getting into.

Cheating a little, I found this Ebay listing with one of these that has the ability to have it's shipping location changed. Ebay collects some package/weight information upon listing an item.

Based on this it looks like around $50.00 freight to your location. Naturally, this is just me teasing out an estimate, but I want you to have an idea of what this might cost.

Thanks for looking that up , A weird thing just happened, I was looking at items like this on Amazon and playing with purchasing and seeing how the freight turned out. The freight for most of the kits and some books was more than the items. I then went into town(brisbane) I just got back and went once again to Amazon only to discover I had mistakenly ordered a couple of things.

I explained that it was an error and could it be cancelled. They said NO. It was too late the items had been shipped. Now this is the best part.... I have been refunded the $93 dollars and they are still giving me the electronics kit!!! I had a long chat with them before I believed it :) I'll send them my Love by buying a Kindle :)

PS. There was some reasonable information explaining what can be done with this kit Amazon are kindly sending me, it will do for my purposes but I could find little and less about the item from Radio Shack. If anyone has the time or inclination can you tell me a little about the first item i was interested in (the radio shack learning center)
