Feed-through capacitors

Since I have an unlimited supply of shovel-ready cash these days to buy new parts (lol), I would like opinions on the benefits, tradeoffs or disadvantages of feed-through capacitors vice standard smd/smt MLCCs. I've done the prerequisite reading prior to posting, I'm looking for personal opinions, biases or experiences. Thanks

In my opinion the main disadvantages are cost and difficulty of use. If they were needed I would use them, if not I would use standard capacitors.

Why would you need to use them?

Feed-through caps are used for UHF and microwave circuits to decouple through shields, unless you have such
a design you'd never use them, surely?
