? switched Hall sensors connections in a BLDC motor.

I think I have the Hall sensors in the BLDC driver connnected incorrectly.
The sensors A & B seem to be cross connected. This is how it was connected when I bought the motor and the driver.
Why I say that is the terminals on the circuit board is marked U,V & W.and color coded Blue(U),V(white) and Yellow(W).
The are the same color codes used for the power to the BLDC motor.Phase 1(U- Blue).Phase 2 (V- White) and phase 3 (W-Yellow)
The Hall sensor connections to the U & V sensors are switched.
The motor still runs - is it possible for the motor to run with incorectly connected Hall sensors.
The fault LED on the contoller is NOT lit. Dos this mean the connections are correct or if corrected per color code will the motor will run more efficiently.
Thank you.
