Roving Networks firmware vs documentation

FYI
I just updated the firmware on my RN-XV WiFly modules to 4.00.1 and did a "factory RESET" per the directions on the web site.
It was a little tricky because the FTP address has changed since MicroChip bought them.
I set it to 198.175.253.161 and set the filename to wifly7-400.img since I was updating from version 2.32
I then set my configuration values and noticed a discrepancy on the WLAN authentication value for WPA2.
The LATEST DOCUMENTATION said to use 4 for WPA but that resulted in AUTH=MIXED. Using "2" resulted in AUTH=WPA.
So, I opened a support ticket on MicroChip's web site.

On page 31 of the rn-wiflycr-ug-v1.2r.pdf, the table 2-13 shows the values for the WLAN command authentication.
It indicates that a value of 4 = WPA2-PSK, however set wlan auth 4 shows AUTH=MIXED (get wlan).
Setting wlan auth=2 however shows AUTH=WPA2.
The documentaion does not match the firmware.

Not sure whether the problem is just documentation or if it is firmware
