No worries - a search tool is forthcoming. The IT gurus today told me that they've found a great search tool for the new Parallax web site (not yet released) and they plan on plugging it into OBEX next. What we do, we will do correctly, but give us a bit of time in the meantime and we'll make you very happy.

I really don't like that the links with Google are broken it made fining any object super easy...is it possible to fix that?

Looks like search is implemented now, but I'm finding that some objects did not make it over. Use the old OBEX. http://obexclassic.parallax.com

    Publison,

There were a handful of objects intentionally removed, mostly those which were specific BASIC programs for Femtobasic and non-GCC C programs. If you have found an object which you feel has been missed, please contact me.
Obex will eventually replace obexclassic, so it's in all of our interests to get things working smoothly on the new system.

    Thanks

    Jeff

This one in particular turned up today in another thread.Johannes had four entries in the old OBEX, but only three in the new one.

I can't remember the other one or two I couldn't find. If I remember I'll let you know.

Parallax can request Google to "crawl" their site

Non-owners can also request the site be crawled.

    P J,

"heater" became "Heater." Sometimes I just don't know who I am anymore. With I good search tool I might be able to find myself again.

Not sure if it is fully implemented - it seems searching is limited to the OBEX name. Searching for the Author or part of of description doesn't work...
