To Jeff Ledger;
Jeff I've been trying my darndest to get in touch with you, but so far in vain. Last year (October-ish) you spoke about interest in a PDP11/34 that I have targeted for the scrap heap. If you still have interest, I will hold on to it for you, but I'm getting some pressure to clear it out. I do need to deal with it at some point, and would appreciate hearing your intentions.
Please advise.
Cheers,
Peter (pjv)

Yes, I still want to take that PDP11/34 off your hands, please hold it if you can while I try to come up with a way to make this happen.
(Sorry to everyone else who got sucked into this conversation!) -- Anyone got a moving truck come south from Canada?

Just letting my mind wander...
I remember the help system on the PDP11/750...
you just typed 'HELP command' and got a wall of text.
Except... if you typed 'HELP ME' you got 'NO HELP AVAILABLE FOR YOU'
(any other mistyped command, and it would respond 'NO HELP AVAILABLE FOR xxxxxx' where the xxxxxx was the mistyped command)
Someone, somewhere at Digital not only had the foresight to realise some bored/frustrated/clueless operator would type it, but actually had enough of sense of humour to do something about it...
