Bent the shaft on the motor of the ELEV-8 - Need replacements

I got it to fly, YEAH!

But, I crashed it :frown: One of the motor's shaft is bent. It deviates about 0.5 mm as its rotated 360 degrees. I see that there are motor manufacturers that supply replacement shafts. However, I can't identify the manufacturer of the 1000kv motors that comes with the kit.

They look to be Turnigy, but don't have any markings. Can these shafts be replaced and if so, where can they be procured?

Thanks,

P.S. I tried flying in the backyard. The first flight was up then down, perfect. The second and crash was up, left, crash into the fence. Lesson, resist the urge to fly it in the backyard :thumb:. Also, Velcro the batteries to the frame, don't use just straps. Hopefully no more catastrophic lesson to learn.

Well, while you wait for Parallax to find out.. you might contact Parallax customer service via email and take some generic measurments... diameter and length. Of course, if a replacement shaft is a bit too long, one can cut one down with a Dremel tool and a grinding disk. Then dress the end with a file.
