Prop BOE to Prop ASC

Recently bought a couple of Prop ASCs and am trying to run programs that were developed on the Prop BOE. !Is a simple application that runs a pan/tilt routine and uses the Parallax Laser Range Finder to measure the distance. The servo part works fine, but the serial communication to the LRF seems dead. Looks like it could be some kind of timing issue.

Anybody come across this?

The Prop BOE and Prop ASC should have the same timing. It's probably something else. I'd suggest posting your source code.

I've not tested the LRF myself, but if its a 3.3 volt interface you should bypass the current limiting resistors on the ASC pins that are connected to the LRF. You do this by simply adding a blob of solder to the pair of corresponding pads on the back of the ASC

that sounds like a possibility Martin, I'll give it a try. Can't see it being software if the timing is the same.
